The busy fall harvest season is in full swing, with 2020 grain crops coming out of fields and into the global supply chain. The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) maintains a wide variety of online resources to keep customers around the world and stakeholders in the United States informed about where – and in what form – U.S. coarse grains and co-products like distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and ethanol are headed globally.

“Specialized newsletters, online resources and social media are all part of the Council’s efforts to provide resources that explain the information, trends and statistics needed to track the flow of global grain trade,” said Bryan Jernigan, USGC director of communications.

“We aim to provide accurate and efficient information, particularly to those who do not always have access to it from other sources, and to anyone looking for a quick summary of key data.”

Regularly Updated Reports: In addition to the weekly Global Update newsletter, the Council publishes several reports on specialized topics.

Trade Tools: Trade Tools is the newest weekly e-newsletter that offers a selection of resources targeted at farmers and others in the ag community looking to build their knowledge bases about global trade and exports.

Market Perspectives: Market Perspectives is a weekly publication that offers readers information about current coarse grain markets including price, weather and freight data important for buying U.S. grains and their co-products.

DDGS Weekly Market Report: The DDGS Weekly Market Report provides timely information on markets for U.S. DDGS, DDGS export figures, shipping information and USGC news. The report is a trade- and customer-servicing tool used by feed and food grains/feed ingredient importers, processors and end-users.

Ethanol Market and Pricing Data Report: The Ethanol Marketing and Pricing Data Report informs global fuel stakeholders of current ethanol, fuels and co-product pricing and offers updates on tariff rates and other market resources.

Online Resources: The Council’s website – grains.org – provides access to a wide range of resources, including trade data, infographics and quality reports as well as information on the organization’s members, leadership and global staff.

Feed Grains In All Forms Portal: The online portal allows users to access export data, corn-equivalent data and U.S. dollar values for exports of U.S. coarse grains, co-products and corn equivalent of value-added products for individual countries and the world.

Infographics: The Council regularly updates infographics detailing how U.S. coarse grains and co-products are exported and highlights information on specific commodities and individual markets or regions.

Trade Toolkit: The USGC Trade Toolkit page offers access to sharegraphics, useful links, videos and main messages for use online and in person.
