Register Now! Hotel Block For USGC Cincinnati Meeting Closes July 1

Hotel block reservations will close on July 1 for the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) 59th Annual Board of Delegates meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Council’s summer meeting, scheduled for July 29 to 31, 2019, will highlight the organization’s global work with key partners to build new demand for U.S. coarse grains and related products, including ethanol.

The Cincinnati meeting will also provide time for USGC delegates and staff, including new President and CEO Ryan LeGrand, to discuss the prospects and hurdles facing U.S. agriculture.

“We are excited to welcome you to this annual member meeting where we come together to discover and discuss the opportunities and challenges our industries must handle today and in the future,” wrote USGC Chairman Jim Stitzlein in a letter inviting members to the meeting. “We look forward to your participation at this important time, so come offer your ideas to help increase and expand U.S. exports of corn, sorghum, barley, ethanol, DDGS and more.”

Speakers will cover current and future global supply and demand, including a deep dive into markets in South Asia, as well as the Council’s deployment of funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA’s) Agricultural Trade Promotion (ATP) program to intensify the search for new markets and address trade policy concerns and non-tariff barriers to trade.

Meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions taking deep dives into the development of trade agreements and growing importance of sanitary and phytosanitary issues.

The Council’s Advisory Teams (A-Teams) will receive updates on specific commodities and markets and provide direction for USGC staff in the coming critical months. During a business meeting at the conference, USGC delegates will adopt next year’s budget and elect new officers and board members.
