A recent bulk vessel transporting 50,000 metric tons of U.S. distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) off-loaded 14,000 metric tons in Southern Vietnam before moving ports to complete its delivery of 36,000 metric tons in Thailand. Vietnam purchased 1.21 million metric tons of U.S. DDGS in 2019/2020, ranking as the third-largest market for the co-product. In the same year, Thailand’s DDGS purchases were the second highest on record for that country, at nearly 872,000 metric tons, making it the fifth-largest market for U.S. DDGS.
