In addition to the nine members recognized in last week’s edition of Global Update, the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) recognized four more members for their five years of service to the organization at its 21st International Marketing Conference and 64th Annual Membership Meeting in Guatemala City, Guatemala, held Feb. 14-16.
Charlie Bumgarner of the Montana Wheat & Barley Committee; Jay Reiners of the Nebraska Corn Board; Jason Felton of the Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Board and Travis Strasser of the South Dakota Corn Growers Association all received commemorative plaques to recognize their achievements.
Charlie Bumgarner
“I would say my favorite mission with the Council was to Mexico City for the Cerveza Mexico event,” Bumgarner said. “Watching staff work with our customers and introducing them to producers like me was a great experience.”

Jay Reiners
“I’ve enjoyed working with USGC and the trade mission trips are excellent ways to connect with our buyers of U.S. corn and byproducts of corn,” Reiners said.
Reiners is a member of the Nebraska Corn Board.
Jason Felton
Felton was a member of the Western Hemisphere Advisory Team (A-Team) between 2018 and 2022.
Felton is a member of the Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Board.
Travis Strasser
Strasser has been a member of the Asia A-Team since 2019.
Strasser is a member of the South Dakota Corn Growers Association.
Please join the Council in congratulating these delegates on their years of service.
