Allison Nepveux, U.S. Grains Council (USGC) manager of trade policy, departed the Council on Dec. 9 to pursue other opportunities.
“Allison has developed strong expertise in understanding and communicating difficult technical issues, including biotechnology maximum residue levels and the broad-ranging issue of sustainability,” said Floyd Gaibler, USGC director of trade policy and biotechnology. “We will miss her team camaraderie and her devotion to the Council’s mission.”
Nepveux joined the Council in June 2018 as the manager of trade policy. In this role, she supported the Council’s trade policy work by implementing creative and effective initiatives to advance trade policy and market access goals and reduce barriers that affect the export of coarse grains and co-products. Nepveux also served as the lead staff member for the USGC Innovation and Sustainability Advisory Team.
“Allison has done a great job managing the Council’s projects on plant breeding innovation, biotech harmonization and many other topics,” Gaibler said. “She has also played a critical role in working with MAIZALL to provide the producers’ collective voice to government on the importance of these issues.”
The Council’s leadership thanks Nepveux for her service. Please join the Council in wishing her farewell!
