In June 2022, leaders of the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) and National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) learned about the potential for U.S. corn and corn co-products exports to the Europe, Middle East and Africa region first-hand during a joint officers’ mission to Morocco and Tunisia. Pictured, 2021 USGC Chairman Jim Raben, who passed away last week, talked with school children while visiting with COPAG, a local cooperative the Council has been working with for the past 20 years in Morocco. Raben’s love for community and people was seen in all aspects of his life, whether he was in Illinois or traveling the world.
