This week’s throwback photo shows a 1998 lecture on swine nutrition and management practices in a classroom at the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) former swine demonstration farm in Southern Vietnam. Tran Trong Chien, USGC’s longtime Vietnam representative (far left), can be seen translating the presentation from Dr. Palmer Holden, a swine nutrition and management professor from Iowa State University (far right). The Council continues to offer education opportunities for producers of a variety of species throughout Southeast Asia, both in person and virtually.
