Yishak “Isaac” Assefa serves as the information technology manager for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum, and related products worldwide, including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with soluble (DDGS).
In this capacity, Assefa provides company-wide support, maintains all systems on-site and remotely and helps make IT infrastructure secure, accessible, and reliable.
Before the Council, Assefa worked for 15 years as a network and facilities specialist for the New Horizons Computer Learning Center in Washington, D.C., and was certified in IT security, Network, and Microsoft certifications.
Assefa also serves as chairman of the Family Builders Fellowship Inc., a non-profit organization, providing leadership supporting its vision and mission.
