Helen Elmore serves as the director of administration and operations for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).
In this capacity, she is responsible for directing the organization’s administrative services, human resources and overall operations. Elmore also ensures the Council is in legal and regulatory compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
Prior to the Council, Elmore worked for the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind as the human resources director. In this capacity, she coordinated salary administration, performance review and all other personnel programs. She established and updated corporate policies and oversaw policies and practices related to performance reviews and compensation.
Elmore also previously served as the director of administration and prior to that manager of administration for the Council where she was responsible for oversight of human resources and benefits programs as well as for meeting planning.
Elmore holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in human kinetics and leisure studies.
