Addis Tilahun serves as the director of finance for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).
In this capacity, Tilahun is responsible for directing the Council’s worldwide financial reporting and ensuring the legal and regulatory compliance to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and all U.S. government financial statutes and regulations. Tilahun also serves as the lead staff liaison to the treasurer and Board of Directors on matters relating to financial targets and performance.
Prior to joining the Council, Tilahun served as a Senior Manager with the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Tilahun also served as a Senior Manager of Finance and Accounting at the National Alliance of State and Territorial Aids Directors.
Tilahun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Addis Ababa University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Strayer University.
