Pictured, U.S. Grains Council (USGC) dairy consultants Dr. Walter Chen and Dr. Todd Meyer test the first samples of distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and ground corn in Saraburi, Thailand, the location of USGC’s newly minted Feed Quality and Research Laboratory. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Market Access Program (MAP) has allowed the Southeast Asia and Oceania office to establish the feed quality center. The lab will be used to support feeding trials around the region and provide quality assurance testing for U.S. corn co-products and competing products. This lab will help the industry keep a competitive edge as competition from alternative origins increases.
