A team from Senegal recently visited Tunisia to attend the first in-country feed training program at the Council’s regional feed facility since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The team included nine professionals from leading feed milling companies, NMA Sanders and Grand Moulin de Dakar. Programming covered all aspects of feed manufacturing and animal nutrition, with a heavy focus on poultry nutrition and feed.
“As a result of the Council’s engagement in West Africa for the last 12 months, we can confirm that 150 metric tons of U.S. corn co-products valued at $100,000 have been sold,” said Mohamed Salah Bouthour, USGC marketing specialist for the Middle East and Africa. “This marks the first sale of corn co-products into this market, and the Council is confident our programs in the region will lead to expanded sales in the near future, thus opening a new market for the U.S. grain industry.”
