Opened in 1961, the U.S. Grains Council’s Japan office has contributed to the rapid growth of the livestock and feed industries as the Japanese diet has shifted more towards meat and dairy consumption and helped tremendously increase sales of U.S. feed grain imports. To maintain and further develop the close relationships, USGC/Japan serves as a bridge between the importers, grain processors and end-users in Japan, an important partner of U.S. agriculture and the U.S. corn industry.
