Salzman Receives USGC Lifetime Achievement Award

During the U.S. Grains Councils 52nd Annual Board of Delegates Meeting, Gerry Salzman of Case IH was awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his commitment to go above and beyond for the good of the organization. To date there have been only six recipients and the Board of Directors is proud to have presented Salzman with this exclusive award.

Salzman has been an important part of the Council and a significant contributor in many ways, including his leadership in the membership satisfaction survey. He previously served as chairman of the public relations committee. In 2003 he was elected to the board of directors and reelected in 2009. He currently serves on the Membership and Communications Advisory Team

“Gerry has worked for the Council for many years. At my first meeting at the U.S. Grains Council, I was assigned to Gerry’s committee; he was the chairman. You could tell he was excited to work for the Council and his enthusiasm was contagious. He represents the agribusiness sector of the Council and brings a unique set of skills to the Board. We really appreciate all he has done for us,” said Dr. Wendell Shauman, USGC past chairman.

Salzman currently serves as the senior director of global product marketing management, overseeing all worldwide products and marketing activities at Case IH harvesting equipment. In his 26 years at Case IH, he has held a variety of positions in product development of combines, grain platforms and cotton pickers, marketing and product management of crop harvesting, hay and forage, and construction equipment. Prior to Case IH, he worked for 14 years at International Harvester and was involved in the launch of the first Axial-Flow combines, as well as subsequent combine lines.
