The U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) Melissa Kessler became director of strategic initiatives and engagement as of May 3.
Kessler previously served the Council as director of strategic relations. In her new position, she will support the executive team and the Council’s members and international offices to develop, implement and evaluate strategy and processes that support Council goals.
“The pandemic has caused a great shift in the way we work, and it has highlighted the need to constantly work to develop this organization and our people for the better,” USGC President and CEO Ryan LeGrand said.
“This newly-focused position will fit well with the needs of the organization and Melissa’s background in organizational development. I believe her work will help us continue on the path of fostering an efficient, effective and inclusive work environment.”
In this new role, Kessler will also manage updating the Council’s strategic plan, evaluating organizational capacity needs and coordinating and managing global change processes.
Please join the Council in congratulating Melissa!
