Hotel room block reservations will close on June 23 for the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) 65th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting in Grand Rapids, MI.
The Council’s summer meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, through Friday, Aug. 1, will provide the Council’s members the opportunity to gather, learn about emerging trade issues and provide input into the Council’s programs and outreach on trade topics.
“My theme for the past year, Cultivate the Future, honors the Council’s 65-year history in developing export markets for the U.S. agricultural industry while looking forward to an exciting turning point for the organization,” said Verity Ulibarri, USGC chairwoman. “These meetings are invaluable for Council staff to get feedback from our members and use their expertise in forging the Council’s next steps forward.”
The Council’s Advisory Teams (A-Teams) will also meet to receive updates on specific commodities and markets and provide direction for USGC staff in the coming critical months. Council delegates will adopt next year’s budget, elect new officers and board members and vote to amend the organization’s name.
Questions about the meeting can be directed to Rebecca Starrett, USGC manager of industry relations, at rstarrett@grains.org.
