Hotel room block reservations will close on June 30 for the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) 63rd Annual Board of Delegates meeting in Calgary, Canada.
The Council’s summer meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, through Friday, July 28, 2023, will provide the Council’s members the opportunity to gather, learn about emerging trade issues and provide input into the Council’s programs and outreach on trade topics.
“In keeping with my theme – Live the Mission, you will have an opportunity to engage directly with the Council’s staff and deepen your understanding of the critical efforts they undertake globally for our industry,” wrote Josh Miller, USGC chairman and farmer from Indiana, in a letter inviting members to the meeting.
Speakers will cover topics including Canada as an important trading partner; Canadian feed grains outlook; ocean freight challenges and opportunities; the upcoming soy crush capacity; Canadian ethanol policy opportunities; and the Council’s ethanol strategy around the world.
The Council’s Advisory Teams (A-Teams) will also meet to receive updates on specific commodities and markets and provide direction for USGC staff in the coming critical months. During a business meeting at the conference on Friday, July 28, Council delegates will adopt next year’s budget and elect new officers and board members.
