Standard Commodity Management was officially founded in 2015 but its commodity trading and risk management traces back more than a decade. SCM evolved from a desire to work alongside farmers and ranchers as they manage risk instead of simply buying their commodities. SCM exists to bring professional risk management, hedging, and merchandising skills to farm clients and to offer farmer grain to markets across the U.S. and Canada.
