Emma Freebairn has joined the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) as manager of industry relations administration.
In this role, Freebairn will support day-to-day operations related to meeting and conference logistics and accounting in the industry relations department.
Freebairn previously interned in the same office during the summer of 2023 and has experience as an intern for the Illinois Farm Bureau and in leadership positions for Illinois Future Farmers of America (FFA).
“Emma made a very strong impression on everyone at the Council during her internship last year and I’m thrilled to have her back with us in a permanent capacity,” said Ellen Zimmerman, USGC director of industry relations. “Emma’s presence in this new role will give the industry relations department a fresh perspective and additional support for future programming and member engagement.”
Freebairn holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from Iowa State University.
