Egna Rodriguez Honored For 15 Years Of Service With The U.S. Grains Council

The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) honored Egna Rodriguez, regional programs manager for the USGC Latin America office, for 15 years of service to the organization during its 22nd International Marketing Conference and 65th Annual Membership Meeting in Austin, Texas.

Rodriguez joined the Council in 2010 and helped USGC Senior Director of Global Strategies Kurt Shultz open the Council’s regional office in Latin America as its first employee.

“The Council is a key player promoting U.S. grains to international markets and ensuring stable and efficient agricultural development,” Rodriguez said. “This not only helps American farmers by expanding their market, but it also benefits consumers and economies around the world by supporting the global food supply.”

In 2015, Rodriguez was promoted to regional programs manager where she is now involved in all market development programs, including planning, implementation and evaluation, actual cost and end-result contracting, budgeting and communication.

“As a key member of our Panama team, Egna has played an essential role in the success of our programs and the cultivation of strong relationships with customers across Latin America,” said Marri Tejada, USGC regional director for Latin America. “Her exceptional work ethic, deep institutional knowledge and ability to connect with others have made her an indispensable part of our organization.”

“Egna’s ability to maintain a positive and steady demeanor, even under pressure, is truly admirable. Those who have had the opportunity to meet or work with her—whether members, colleagues or customers—consistently speak highly of her contributions and character. It’s a privilege to have her on our team, and I look forward to many more years of success together.”

Please join the Council in thanking Egna for her service!
