Cash corn values are slightly higher at $4.28/bushel this week while FOB ethanol plant DDGS are down fractionally to $148.57/MT. The DDGS/cash corn value is 88 percent, down from last week but below the three-year average of 107 percent. Kansas City soybean meal values are down $8/MT this week, leaving the DDGS/soymeal price ratio at 43 percent, slightly above its three-year average of 41 percent.
Easing river navigation is allowing CIF Gulf barge values to decrease and with a softening of FOB Gulf values. FOB Gulf prices for August loading are down $5/MT this week while rail-delivered prices to the PNW are up $4/MT. Prices for 40-foot containers to southeast Asia are up $2/MT this week to average $245/MT as international inquiries and demand remains steady.
