Jon Weiss, the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) longtime manager of domestic accounting, departed the Council on Jan. 4 to join the University of Maryland’s endowment office.
Jon joined the Council in 2011 with an array of non-profit experience.
“Jon has brought great collaboration – not to mention outstanding accounting knowledge and spectacular attention to detail – to his position in the seven years he worked here,” said Helen Elmore, USGC director of finance and administration.
“His departure will leave a void as he takes with him a great deal of institutional knowledge, and we will miss him as a trusted and warm colleague. He has been a great pleasure to have on the Finance and Administration team and will be missed.”
The Council’s leadership thanks Jon for his service to this organization. Please join the Council in wishing him farewell!
