U.S. Grains Council Staff Honored For 10 Years Of Service

The U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) staff are active in more than 50 countries and the European Union in pursuit of developing markets, enabling trade and improving lives through the expansion of U.S. agricultural exports. The Council presented commemorative plaques to celebrate staff who’ve spent a decade contributing to that mission during its 22nd International Marketing Conference and 65th Annual Membership Meeting in Austin, Texas, held Feb. 12-14.

The Council presented commemorative plaques for years of service to:

• Isaac Assefa, IT manager, Washington, D.C.

• Ana Maria Ballesteros, deputy regional director for Europe and the Middle East, Tunis, Tunisia

• Javier Chávez, senior marketing specialist, Mexico City, Mexico

• Young Jin Lee, administrative manager, Seoul, South Korea

• Ryan LeGrand, president and CEO, Washington, D.C.

• Manuel Sanchez, director in China, Beijing, China

“The Council’s staff are always on the go, opening new market opportunities and defending existing ones on behalf of U.S. producers, so it’s a special moment to be able to take some time to recognize the commitment and achievements of our peers around the world,” said Cary Sifferath, USGC vice president. “Congratulations to each of them for their 10 years of service to the U.S. agricultural industry!”

Thank you to these staff members for their dedication to the Council.
