On May 1, Reece Cannady became the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) new regional director for South Asia, based in New Delhi, India.
Cannady most recently served as the assistant director for Europe and the Middle East, based in the Council’s regional office in Tunis, Tunisia. From 2018-2022, he acted as manager of global trade for the Council, spending time in both the Washington, D.C. headquarters and Tunis regional office.
In his new role, Cannady will be responsible for evaluating, planning, coordinating, implementing and managing the Council’s market development programs in India and the South Asia region.
“Reece has a wealth of experiences he will bring to the position from both his time in D.C. supporting our overseas offices and his more recent experience in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region developing and implementing new and innovative programs there,” said Kurt Shultz, USGC senior director of global strategies. “He will be able to apply these experiences to continue building on the excellent foundation laid down over the past couple of years while opening the India office. A bright future for our South Asia programs lies ahead.”
Cannady holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a dual concentration in finance and management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He steps into this role following Alejandra Danielson Castillo’s move to director of global programs in the Council’s Washington, D.C. office.
Please join the Council in congratulating Reece!
