The Council’s Board of Directors approved the aT Grain Company (AGC) as a new member during the Council’s 9th International Marketing Conference and 52nd Annual Membership Meeting in Panama City, Panama. Based in Chicago, aT Grain Company (AGC) is a grain and feed exporter of corn, soybeans and wheat. The company specializes in grain merchandising and grain storage and handling, as well as value-enhanced (non-GMO) grains.
aT Grain Company (AGC) is a joint venture established by the Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corp., Samsung C&T Corp., Hanjin Transportation Co. and STX Corp., with plans to export 50,000 metric tons of U.S. corn (1.9 million bushels) and 50,000 tons of U.S. soybeans to Korea this year and expectations to boost shipments to Korea to almost 2.15 million tons by 2015. The Council is excited to work with aT Grain Company (AGC) and elected delegate, Mr. Haksoo Kim, president of AGC, in the future.
