The Grains Foundation will host a fundraising auction to support its worldwide programs during the U.S. Grains Council’s 54th Annual Board of Delegates meeting, scheduled for July 28-30 in Omaha, Nebraska.
The silent auction will be held at an auction table near the registration desk beginning Sunday, July 27, at 10 a.m. and close Tuesday, July 29, at 3 p.m. Winners will be announced at the Tuesday evening offsite event. All auction items were donated through the generosity of Council members.
Items slated for the silent auction include:
- Four 2015 Iowa Corn Indy 300 race and hospitality tent tickets that include hotel accommodations for one night. Donated by the Iowa Corn Growers Association.
- A Costa Rica conference package that includes complimentary registration to the Council’s 12th International Marketing Conference and 55th Annual Membership Meeting, Feb. 9 to 11, 2015, in Heredia, Costa Rica, including a complimentary concierge upgrade and a massage for two at the hotel’s Kuo Spa. Donated by the U.S. Grains Council and San Jose Costa Rica Marriott.
- A Costa Rica artisan pack that includes a handcrafted wood bowl, jewelry and Sibu chocolate. Donated by Ron and Cindy Gray.
- Three sets of hand crafted jewelry by Lori (Tiemann) Paulsen. Donated by Alan Tiemann.
- Two sets of Case IH coffee table books including The Farmer in All of Us and Red Tractors. Donated by Case IH.
- A signed bottle of Jim Bean Kentucky bourbon. Donated by the Kentucky Corn Promotion Council.

Established in 1983, the Foundation works to advance the understanding of the value of international trade, build partnerships and nurture the next generation of leaders in the agricultural and agribusiness sectors.
The Foundation serves as a critical platform to foster relationships between Council members and customers, as well as a catalyst to the advancement and understanding of the value of international trade.
In recent years, the Foundation’s major activity has been the International Collegiate Leadership Program, a partnership with FFA that sponsors an annual international educational mission for student leaders.
