The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) will accept applications for representatives of member organizations wanting to serve on its Advisory Teams (A-Teams) until April 29.
A-Teams provide insight and guidance to the USGC Board of Directors on the activities and strategic plan of the Council. Their insight is considered essential to USGC staff and is used to help formulate the Council’s annual operational plan.
A-Team members serve two-year terms, renewable without limit at the discretion of the Board of Directors. All interested USGC delegates who are not currently serving on an A-Team are encouraged to apply.
Current members whose terms expire in 2016 must submit an application if they wish to continue to serve on an A-Team. A-Team members with expiring terms have already been alerted of the need to reapply.
The USGC chairman will finalize and announce A-Team member appointments for the 2016-2018 term prior to the 56th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting, scheduled for Louisville, Kentucky, in July. These new appointments will begin Aug. 1.
