USGC, Ag Industry Bid Farewell to VP Erick Erickson

Please join the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) in bidding farewell and congratulations to Erick Erickson as he leaves the Council for retirement.

Erickson has been a dedicated employee of the Council since 1984 and has served in a variety of capacities including director of global strategies; executive director for membership, administration and communication; director of planning and evaluation; and vice president on two occasions.

“Erick has always been the one to ask the challenging questions, said USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight. “He was always able to put things in perspective and see things through a bigger lens in terms of our programs and day-to-day decisions. That type of perspective is special to an organization.

Erickson was recently awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Council’s Board of Directors, a very rare honor for a staff member.

“Erick has made many significant contributions to the Council during his tenure, said USGC Past Chairman Ron Gray. “His strategic insight into long-term planning has been invaluable to us and helped make our organization successful.

Erickson’s last day with the Council is Friday, Aug. 7.

Enjoy your retirement, Erick!
