Larry Byrd returned to the receptionist and administrative assistant position for the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) and the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) on Monday.
In this role, Byrd will again serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers as well as provide administrative support and support for the global programs department.
“Larry brings his enthusiasm and a welcoming manner to the front desk for the Council and NCGA,” said Helen Elmore, USGC director of finance and administration. “We appreciate his passion and our team looks forward to working closely with him again in this role.”
Byrd joined the Council in July 2016 as the receptionist and administrative assistant. Following a stint familiarizing himself with the logistics of the Council’s global programs, he has returned to this post with both USGC and NCGA.
Byrd previously worked for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as an agribusiness underwriting intern. In this position, he helped the organization identify various industry opportunities for growth and research. Byrd earned a bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs from the University of Alabama.
