As family members and friends sit down next week across the United States for their Thanksgiving meals, the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) and other agricultural organizations welcome them to send social media greetings for a happy holiday and to thank the farmers who provide the bounty on their tables.
The Council has two new graphics available to be shared on Facebook or Twitter for this purpose, available in large format here and here.
The highlight of the traditional Thanksgiving meal is turkey produced with feed grains. Milk, bacon for baked potatoes and even ethanol blended into gasoline in the family car also come from the grains produced by U.S. farmers
USGC thanks its farmer and agribusiness members for their contribution to America’s abundance and their support of USGC programs that help spread that abundance to consumers globally through agriculture exports.
USGC offices in Washington will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of the holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving!
