U.S. Grains Council members are encouraged to participate in the Southeast Asia DDGS Workshop Dec. 6-18, 2010. The Council will conduct a nine-day DDGS promotion program in Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines focusing on swine diets. This program will contain industry seminars, technical workshops and one-on-one meetings with key customers in each market. This program is designed to directly promote and foster sales of U.S. DDGS through marketing and customer education programs.
The Council will reach out to a wide number of customers through seminars and also conduct a series of one-on-one trade/technical servicing meetings with key customers (commercial swine farmers,
integrators, traders). Customized training will help convince swine producers of quality advantages and feasibility of DDGS use in local market conditions. Farmers and traders who service feed ingredient needs of swine farmers will take into consideration information received during the seminars, resulting in increased opportunities for U.S. DDGS sales.
The Council will assist members with hotel arrangements, but travel and hotel costs are the responsibility of the participant. The Council will pay for the seminars, reception, marketing materials and translators. If you are interested in attending, please contact Kimberly Karst, USGC manager of international operations for Asia, at kkarst@grains.org.
