Time is running out to register for the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC) 14th International Marketing Conference and 57th Annual Membership Meeting, scheduled for Panama City, Panama, from Feb. 13 to 15.
All registrations and hotel reservations, including rooms at an overflow hotel newly available in the hotel block, are due Monday, Jan. 16.
This event will present a once-a-year opportunity to meet with all of the Council’s international directors, hear about their work in more than 50 countries and participate in planning the Council’s current marketing blitz for U.S. feed grains and their products as well as long-term strategy.
During the meeting, USGC Advisory Teams (A-Teams) covering major regions in which the Council works and important topics like ethanol exports will review the Council’s Unified Export Strategy (UES) and help set direction and priorities for the year ahead.
Council members will also hold sector meetings to discuss issues of importance specifically for corn, barley and sorghum producers as well as agribusinesses and general farm organizations.
Attendees will spend time learning about the importance of Panama to global trade with a visit to the new Agua Clara locks on the Atlantic side of the Canal.
Much more about the meeting, including registration and housing details is available at www.grains.org/panama.
