USGC Summer Meeting Scheduled For Montreal

The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) is pleased to announce that the Westin Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada will serve as the location of its 55th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting on July 27-29, 2015.

The summer meeting had been originally scheduled for the same dates in Denver. However, the host hotel is undergoing unplanned renovations, necessitating a change.

“The Council is very excited to announce the new location for our summer meeting,” said Ron Gray, USGC chairman and farmer from Illinois. “Canada is the top export market for 35 U.S. states, and our meeting in Montreal will be a great opportunity to create connections with our northern neighbor.”

While in Montreal, attendees will focus on emerging opportunities, competitive challenges and the Council’s work to increase U.S. market share. The Advisory Teams (A-Teams) will review new developments that affect USGC work around the world, and the Council will conduct its annual business meeting to elect new leaders and adopt a FY2016 budget. Attendees will also have the opportunity to better understand how Canada fits into the growing global market through speakers and site visits.

Online registration for the meeting will open in late May. Click here for more information about the meeting.

Now is the time to check: all attendees of the summer meeting must have valid and up-to-date passports. The Council encourages all potential attendees to renew their documents now if they are set to expire prior to January 2016.

Please visit the State Department website, http://www.state.gov, for information on obtaining or renewing a passport and other valuable travel information.

We look forward to seeing you in Montreal!
