US Grains Council Impressed with FAS Administrator Appointment

USDA recently announced the appointment of John Brewer as its Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Administrator. Mr. Brewer brings a wealth of international experience having worked both for the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton as an associate on the Global Security/Threat Finance Team and with the Federal Government, working on U.S. policy in Latin America and the Caribbean. U.S. Grains Council President and CEO Thomas C. Dorr said, “On behalf of the U.S. Grains Council, I want to congratulate Mr. Brewer on his new post as the new FAS Administrator. This appointment comes at a critical time for foreign market development in regards to the increase in worldwide feed and food grains competition, pending free trade agreements and the awaiting Doha negotiations of the World Trade Organization.
