USGC Hires and Bids Farewell to Staff in Washington, Korea

Please join the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) in welcoming two new employees, Emily Byron to its Washington, D.C., headquarters and Young Jin Lee to its office in Korea.

Byron joins the Council as the new global programs coordinator. In this capacity, she will handle the many details, logistics and follow-up needs associated with programs undertaken by her department and USGC consultants.

She previously served as a research intern at Inform in London. Bryon holds a master’s degree from King College London in religion in contemporary society and a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College in globalization studies. Her first day in the D.C. office was Monday, Jan. 5.

Lee joins the Council as the new administrative manager in the Korea office. In this capacity, she will be taking on the finance and administrative roles within the office. She is a returning face to the Council as she previously worked in the Korea office in the 1990s. Her first day back at the Council was Monday, Dec. 15.

The Council also recently bid farewell to Lindsey Blakely.

Blakely served as the membership and communications coordinator in the Washington, D.C., headquarters. In this capacity, she assisted with the needs and project work related to the communications and membership departments. Her last day was Jan. 2.
