Erb-Sharkey Advances to New USGC Directorship

The U.S. Grains Council is pleased to announce the promotion of Lyndsey Erb-Sharkey to USGC director of industry relations. Erb-Sharkey served as the Council’s manager of membership outreach and development since 2012.

“This promotion reaffirms the Council’s dedication to our membership,” said Tom Sleight, USGC president and CEO. “We want to facilitate U.S. industry involvement in and support of the Council’s global export market programs.

“Lyndsey has been intricately involved with our membership initiatives. Now we want to challenge her to bring our efforts to a new level and represent industry concerns to help us meet our members’ needs.”

As director of industry relations, Erb-Sharkey will direct the membership team with emphasis on strategic approaches to membership programs and resource use, developing a marketing plan for current and potential members, and being the linkage and guidance between Council staff and membership.

Erb-Sharkey joined the Council in May 2011 as the membership coordinator and was promoted to manager. Prior to the Council, she served as the assistant director of operations at Mountain West Insurance, LLC in Missoula, Mont.

Sharkey is a graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University and holds a bachelors of science in business finance and a bachelors or arts in sociology.

Congratulations Lyndsey!
