Asian Demand For U.S. Food Barley Steadily Increases

Health-conscious consumers in Japan and South Korea continue to recognize the nutritional benefits of high-beta glucan barley, thanks to the work by the U.S. Grains Council with the food industries in each country. To continue capturing market share, the Council regularly facilitates direct conversations between U.S. barley farmers and Japanese and South Korean end-users and participates in industry events.
