Accounting Coordinator

Mevis Clark serves as the accounting coordinator for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS). In this capacity, Clark coordinates accounts payable systems and provides accounting support to the global programs department, accounting managers and the director of finance and administration.

Prior to the Council, Clark worked for National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA) as an accounting assistant. In this capacity she monitored/reviewed project budgets, ensured accuracy of bookkeeping and that the field financial report were consistent with USDA regulation.

She also previously served as staff accountant and international accountant for National Democratic Institute (NDI) where she was responsible for 13 international projects in two regions, Southeastern Africa and Latin America/Caribbean, monitoring and ensuring in-country practices were consistent with NDI polices and USAID Regulation.

Clark holds a bachelor’s of science in accounting from Instituto Guaymuras Honduras.

The Council is a private, non-profit partnership of agribusinesses and producers committed to building and expanding international markets for U.S. feed grains and ethanol. The organization has 10 international offices that oversee programs in more than 50 countries. Support for the Council comes from its producer and agribusiness members and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) through programs authorized in the U.S. farm bill.
