USGC Bids Farewell To Manager Of Communications Julia Debes

Julia Debes, U.S. Grains Council (USGC) manager of communications, departed the Council on Feb. 3 to join Working Lands for Wildlife as director of agricultural communications.

“Julia has been an integral part of the communications team at the Council while also helping out her colleagues and others outside her department.” said Bryan Jernigan, USGC director of communications. “We will miss her collaborative spirit but appreciate that she’s found the next step in her communications career.”

Debes joined the Council in 2017. In her role, she developed, implemented and maintained the organization’s publications – including Global Update, online communications and other internal and external outreach.

“With her ag background and connection to the farm in Kansas, Julia has been the force behind managing the Council’s wide-ranging social media efforts, grains.org and the expansion of our overseas websites,” Jernigan said. “She also played a critical role during many of the Council’s in-person and virtual meetings and as a staffer for the Council’s Innovation & Sustainability Advisory Team.”

The Council’s leadership thanks Debes for her service. Please join us in wishing her farewell!
