Rebecca Winkert serves as the Communications Coordinator for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products worldwide. In this capacity, Winkert performs as a liaison between the membership and communication departments and manages website content, assists with membership meeting planning and implementation, maintains membership records and completes other various administrative duties.
Prior to the Council, Rebecca worked for the Francesca’s Collections as a Management and Sales Lead. In this capacity she practiced her management skills, leading a team of associates to exceed financial and company goals. Winkert also served as a social media and communications specialist for the University of Maryland’s Department of Aerospace Engineering and various communications and project management positions with Goddard Space Flight Center, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Winkert holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in digital media and visual communication from the University of Maryland.
