Mary Ngalaba serves as the Tanzania representative for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products worldwide.

Prior to the Council, Ngalaba worked for Steps Entertainment as the Evaluation officer, where she Ngalaba coordinated, monitored, evaluated and reported specified activities. Ngalaba also served as the Business administrator for Sunrise hotel, where she oversaw and analyzed expenditure reports, mediated between staff and other executives, marketed and promoted the business, and trained staff.

Ngalaba holds a Degree in Psychology from Day Star University.
