The National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) will conduct its annual Trade Talk event next week during the organization’s annual convention in Kansas City, Missouri. The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) will participate in the event to discuss trade policy developments and concerns, a record-setting marketing year for U.S. exports of feed grains in all forms and the overall value of U.S. agricultural trade to the U.S. economy.

USGC Chairman Deb Keller, a farmer from central Iowa, and USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight will talk with farm broadcasters from across the country during the event on Nov. 9. They will share successes and challenges facing the Council’s work in more than 50 countries and the European Union to develop markets and enable trade for U.S. corn, barley, sorghum, ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).

NAFB Trade Talk provides the opportunity for U.S. agricultural industry organizations to reach local and regional audiences through NAFB’s member stations and networks. NAFB estimates more than 2,500 interviews are conducted during Trade Talk by about 120 farm broadcasters, a collective air-time value of $585,000.
