The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) named Manuel Sanchez as its new South & Southeast Asia regional director, effective Aug. 15.<\/p>\n
Sanchez previously worked as the assistant director in the region, a new position created by the USGC Board of Directors in September 2016 as part of an effort to more effectively serve these growing markets for U.S. feed grains and co-products. <\/p>\n
\u201cManuel has become very familiar with the issues and opportunities for feed grains in all forms across the region,\u201d said Cary Sifferath, USGC senior director of global programs. \u201cI am delighted he will take on the challenge of making the most of the future potential in the South & Southeast Asia region.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n As regional director, Sanchez will identify and address all relevant trade, technical and policy factors relevant to building and maintaining markets in the region. He replaces <\/span>Kevin Roepke<\/a>, who recently accepted a position with the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) in Guadalajara, Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to moving to Kuala Lumpur in January 2017, Sanchez served as the USGC manager of global trade in the Washington, D.C., office.
