Ashley Kongs, U.S. Grains Council (USGC) manager of ethanol export programs, will leave the Council on July 7 to pursue her master\u2019s degree in business administration as a Forte Fellow at George Washington University\u2019s School of Business.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAshley has played an important role in the development and implementation of many of our ethanol market development programs over the last three years,\u201d said Mike Dwyer, USGC chief economist, who oversees USGC\u2019s ethanol programs. \u201cHer dedication and hard work have really paid off and we will surely miss her and her contributions to the Council.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Kongs first joined the Council in June 2011 as the international operations coordinator. In this position, she coordinated all aspects of trade team travel, including logistics, briefing documents and itineraries. Kongs left the Council from 2012 to work for Congressional Quarterly\/Roll Call and re-joined the Council in 2014 as the manager of ethanol export programs. <\/span><\/p>\n

In her most recent position, Kongs managed the Council\u2019s ethanol export promotion projects, including strategic analysis, program planning and development, implementation and evaluation as well as the recruitment of program consultants. <\/span><\/p>\n
