\"\"Maria Murphy, who joined the U.S. Grains Council\u2019s (USGC\u2019s) Washington-based staff late last year, has been promoted into the role of manager of membership administration as of Feb. 27. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am confident Maria\u2019s background, energy, attention to detail and enthusiasm will positively affect engagement with our members, enhancing some of our most important relationships,\u201d said Lyndsey Erb, USGC director of industry relations. <\/p>\n

Murphy joined the Council in December 2016 as the membership and communications coordinator. In her new role, Murphy will assume additional responsibilities for membership services, including member retention, education, dues and billing. <\/p>\n

Prior to joining the Council, Murphy worked as a membership and meetings assistant at the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties. There, she assisted with the implementation of the annual meeting and served as staff liaison for leadership.<\/p>\n

She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in English from Mount Holyoke College.<\/p>\n
