{"id":4271,"date":"2016-03-31T13:54:24","date_gmt":"2016-03-31T13:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grains.org\/ltamex\/legrand-named-director-in-mexico\/"},"modified":"2016-03-31T13:54:24","modified_gmt":"2016-03-31T13:54:24","slug":"legrand-named-director-in-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grains.org\/ltamex\/legrand-named-director-in-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"LeGrand Named Director In Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan LeGrand as the organization\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s director in Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153When Ryan came on board as assistant director in Mexico last November, he added valuable grain trade expertise to our global network,\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd said USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight.<br \/>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153With this promotion, he will be able to bring that knowledge and experience to his new post, which will further benefit the global grain industry, including our members.\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd<\/p>\n<p>As director in Mexico, LeGrand will be responsible for identifying and addressing trade, technical and policy-related factors that impact the market for U.S. grains and co-products in Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Mexico is a tremendously important market for U.S. corn, sorghum, barley and their equally important co-products,\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd Sleight said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are encouraged by recent developments in the market and are excited to welcome Ryan on board as director to continue the Council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s excellent programs in one of our best markets.\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd<\/p>\n<p>LeGrand is replacing J<a href=\"http:\/\/usgc.informz.net\/z\/cjUucD9taT01NDgxNDYzJnA9MSZ1PTEwNjIwMjQ1MzcmbGk9MzQzOTg1NDg\/index.html\" target=\"_self\">ulio Hernandez, who stepped down<\/a> from his post on March 31.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Ryan has big shoes to fill as Julio\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s contributions to both Mexico and the Council touched the whole range of livestock industries, feed millers and more,\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd Sleight said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I have confidence that he will build off Julio\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s work and expand our programs in Mexico to a new level.\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd<\/p>\n<p>LeGrand previously held positions with Gavilon, Hawkeye Gold and, about 10 years ago, the Council as a manager of international operations for distiller\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, Ryan!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan LeGrand as the organization\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s director in Mexico. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153When Ryan came on board as assistant director in Mexico last November, he added valuable grain trade expertise to our global network,\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd said USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153With this promotion, he will be able &hellip;
