{"id":3920,"date":"2015-07-30T13:54:05","date_gmt":"2015-07-30T13:54:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grains.org\/ltamex\/icymi-uscg-annual-meeting-a-success\/"},"modified":"2015-07-30T13:54:05","modified_gmt":"2015-07-30T13:54:05","slug":"icymi-uscg-annual-meeting-a-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grains.org\/ltamex\/icymi-uscg-annual-meeting-a-success\/","title":{"rendered":"ICYMI: USCG Annual Meeting A Success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Nearly 240 U.S. Grains Council (USGC) delegates and members are departing Montreal, Canada, the site of the Council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s <a href=\"http:\/\/USGC.informz.net\/z\/cjUucD9taT00OTM1Nzk3JnA9MSZ1PTEwNjQyMjAxMzgmbGk9MzAxMzg5MDI\/index.html\" target=\"_self\">55th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting<\/a>&nbsp;held this week, committed to a year celebrating the theme&nbsp;<em>Excellence in Exports<\/em> and focused on the work the Council needs to do to build demand, remove trade barriers and provide customer service to overseas buyers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The meeting agenda and speakers focused on emerging opportunities, competitive challenges and the Council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s work to increase U.S. market share. USGC Advisory Teams (A-Teams) met to review new developments that affect the organization\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s work around the world, and the Council conducted its annual business meeting at which delegates elected new leaders and approved a FY2016 budget.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Service awards to dedicated volunteers and staff were also presented at the meeting.
