Participants include many of the largest importers of U.S. coarse grains and ethanol co-products in the region, including importers distiller\u2019s dried grains with solubles (DDGS), corn gluten feed and corn gluten meal. This region continues to see increases in demand for coarse grains and ethanol co-products as their food and energy industries develop and expand.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees from the region will include corn importers, feed millers, poultry and dairy industry representatives, DDGS importers and corn gluten meal importers. At the event, they and other attendees will learn the latest about U.S. product conditions and quality and build relationships with U.S. suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>Export Exchange is the premier international trade conference focused on the export of U.S. coarse grains and ethanol co-products, co-sponsored by the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) and the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA). For some of the others, Export Exchange gives them a chance to get introduced to new suppliers in the United States.\u201d<br \/>As demand for poultry, dairy and other food products expands throughout the region, imports of feed grains are needed to grow the countries\u2019 livestock industries. Political stabilization in many countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco, has also led to increasing imports.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last year, U.S. corn imports into the Middle East and North Africa have rebounded. More than 4.2 million metric tons (163.8 million bushels) of U.S. corn have been sold to the region in the 2013\/2014 marketing year, while only 274,000 tons (10.8 million bushels) were sold in 2012\/2013.<\/p>\n<p>Export Exchange is held every two years. The 2012 event broke records in attendance and attracted buying teams from 33 countries, including all of the top U.S. international coarse grains and ethanol co-products markets.
