The U.S. Grains Council is working with USDA\u2019s Foreign Agricultural Service, Growth Energy and the Renewable Fuels Association to assess how best to promote ethanol exports during market development programs overseas. <\/p>\n

Earlier this year, USDA announced ethanol could be marketed under Market Access Program funding.<\/p>\n

USGC Manager of Ethanol Export Programs Ashley Kongs recently spoke about the Council\u2019s work to assess new markets for ethanol in an audio interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been working in a steering committee to develop ethanol export programs for the 2014\/2015 fiscal year,\u201d Kongs said. \u201cSince March we\u2019ve been working to determine which markets we are going to do market assessments in. Next year we will shift into doing market development activities in key markets.\u201d<\/p>\n
