Each year, the Nebraska Corn Board sponsors a handful of college students to intern with cooperators around the country to gain professional experience in the agricultural sector. This week the U.S. Grains Council welcomed its summer intern, Bryan Brower, in the Washington, D.C., office.<\/p>\n

Brower, who will be a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this fall, is working towards a degree in accounting with a minor in political science. A Nebraska native, Brower previously has worked as a government relations intern, assisting state and local lobbyists in Lincoln. While at the Council, he will work with the membership and communications departments furthering the Council\u2019s industry relations, as well as to promoting Council programs and efforts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very thankful for the generosity of the Nebraska Corn Board. The partnership between the Nebraska Corn Board and the Council is giving me an unbelievable opportunity to promote the industry of agriculture in Washington, D.C.,\u201d Brower said. \u201cI look forward to the opportunity at hand and all the challenges that will arise. Furthermore, I\u2019m very excited to spend my summer experiencing Washington, D.C., and all that the area has to offer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
